Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct the search for a Proposal Pricing Analyst with our client, a non-profit non-partisan research organization. This is a direct-hire position that can be worked out of the DC, Pittsburgh, or Santa Monica office OR fully remote.
Overview:
The Proposal Pricing Analyst will join a proposal development team and support the creation of competitive, compliant pricing models. This role involves analyzing, developing, and managing proposal budgets for various contract types, ensuring that all budgets align with technical scopes and meet client expectations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate and effective proposal pricing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop budgets that align with proposal requirements and client specifications for federal, state, local, commercial, and foundational projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine staffing mixes, labor categories, and direct costs.
- Own the development of business and pricing volumes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with proposal guidelines.
- Participate in pricing review meetings and provide alternative pricing scenarios when necessary.
- Convert developed budgets into client-required formats and ensure consistency with all proposal documentation.
- Lead pricing efforts in coordination with Principal Investigators and proposal managers.
- Contribute to internal training initiatives and support process improvements within the proposal pricing function.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in cost proposal preparation, with a solid understanding of compliance and estimating practices for U.S. government contracts.
- Familiarity with various contract types, including Fixed Price, Cost-Plus, and Grants.
- Knowledge of budgeting tools, with experience in Adaptive Planning or Pro Pricer preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Salesforce and professional services technology platforms is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
Compensation:
This position offers an annual salary between $85,000-$105,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
