Scion Executive Search, an award-winning full-service staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Head of Healthcare Marketing & PR for our client, a dynamic company working to revolutionize the health industry. This full-time, hybrid position is available for immediate hire in New York City.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven leader to oversee the marketing and public relations initiatives within the health industry. As the Head of Healthcare Marketing & PR, this individual will position the agency as a vital partner for some of the most transformative entities in the healthcare field. This role will inspire teams to cultivate creativeness and intentional insights to achieve client objectives while actively pursuing new opportunities and strengthening the agency’s connections across various divisions. Furthermore, this position is essential for nurturing the company culture and shaping the long-term expansion plan. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work in partnership with the executive team to design and implement a comprehensive business strategy overseeing daily operations to ensure success.
  • Manage the practice's P&L to guarantee profitability while maintaining accountability for financial performance.
  • Develop and cultivate a robust network of industry influencers and partners to enhance lead generation and unlock new business opportunities.
  • Partner with the growth department to explore and expand into mission-aligned markets and verticals and customize proposals for prospective clients that align with their objectives.
  • Represent the organization at key industry events and conferences, devising innovative strategies to position the agency as a leader in the healthcare sector through networking, partnerships, content development, and thought leadership.
  • Ensure client programs consistently meet campaign goals and objectives, focusing on key metrics and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Establish strong, direct communication channels with clients, providing strategic counsel and reinforcing the agency's expertise.
  • Review all client materials, plans, and programs to uphold quality control and creative excellence, including conducting strategic and tactical checks.
  • Encourage regular client evaluations of agency performance through quarterly reviews or other appropriate formats.
  • Mentor and motivate team members, setting clear objectives for client campaigns and supporting their professional development.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, empowerment, and innovation, emphasizing strategic thinking and respect for individuality.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the agency CEO and C-Suite, utilizing an open-door policy to introduce new ideas, seek guidance, and address critical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in integrated marketing and public relations, particularly within healthcare and agency settings.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in writing, editing, and delivering engaging presentations.
  • Strategic thinker who effectively aligns client objectives with integrated marketing and PR strategies, prioritizing problem-solving over sales tactics.
  • Self-motivated, confident, entrepreneurial, and adaptable, with a strong ability to view the big picture and efficiently coordinate resources for optimal outcomes.
  • Skilled in leveraging data analytics and digital technologies to enhance marketing efforts.
  • Highly driven by the opportunity to lead growth initiatives in a critical business sector.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
In addition to a highly competitive salary range of $175,000–$200,000 (DOE), this full-time, hybrid position comes with comprehensive benefits, and a matching 401K.
