Scion Nonprofit Staffing, an award-winning full-service staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Senior Vice President of School Aged Services Operations on behalf of our client, a mission-driven association supporting community engagement. We are seeking a candidate with very large systemic before and after school (B/A) operations who is strong at building teams. This full-time on-site role is based in Memphis, TN, and is available immediately.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This Senior Vice President (SVP) of School Age Services will oversee our client’s school-age childcare programs across the Memphis-Shelby County School District, comprising over 200 schools. The position entails managing all aspects of program operations, including budgeting, staff development, family and community engagement, and driving the strategic growth of school-age services. As a key member of the Association Leadership Team, the SVP will contribute significantly to shaping organizational strategy and ensuring alignment with our client’s mission and goals. Responsibilities include boosting enrollment, retaining participants, fostering a positive staff culture, ensuring compliance with childcare licensing standards, and cultivating strong partnerships with community and district stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy Leadership: Shape organizational direction by contributing to our client’s mission-focused decision-making and policy formulation.
Operational Oversight: Manage childcare sites to align with compliance and quality standards.
Strategic Execution: Align school-age services with our client’s broader vision and organizational goals.
Program Growth: Formulate and apply tactics for enrollment increase, participant retention, and program development.
Policy Development: Implement programs to elevate service quality and operational excellence.
Budget Control: Manage fiscal responsibilities, ensuring adherence to budgets while collaborating on financial forecasting.
Staff Development: Hire, train, and supervise staff, fostering engagement and professional growth.
Risk and Compliance: Safeguard operations through regulatory adherence and risk management protocols.
Community Collaboration: Build partnerships with stakeholders, fostering engagement with schools and local leaders.
Family Engagement: Strengthen family ties through events and communication that enhance their connection to our client’s programs.
Team Building: Promote a positive work culture through initiatives that encourage cohesion and enthusiasm.
Financial Accountability: Monitor expenditures on resource efficiency.
Program Evaluation: Assess and adjust program delivery to maintain high satisfaction and quality standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
In addition to a salary of $140,000 to $150,000 (DOE), this opportunity offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, optical, and life insurance, a 12% employer-funded, fully vested retirement plan after two years, and a 403(b) savings plan. A complete relocation package is offered if you are moving from over 60 miles away.
