Scion Staffing is currently seeking a Nonprofit Receptionist for an innovative and dynamic nonprofit in New York City! This exciting part-time, temporary position offers the opportunity to join a dedicated team providing direct support to communities in the New York area!
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, approachable, and skilled in customer service, ensuring the reception area functions effectively. This part-time role involves being the first point of contact, welcoming visitors, managing phone calls, and overseeing visitor access with professionalism, efficiency, and a warm, enthusiastic attitude.
JOB DUTIES:

Welcome visitors and participants with professionalism, provide assistance as needed, and direct them to the appropriate staff or resources.

Answer and route incoming calls promptly and accurately to the correct team members.

Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintain a tidy and organized reception area to ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Provide general information about the organization to visitors and participants as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience working in an office environment.

Strong customer service skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor.

Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations, demonstrating integrity, diplomacy, and initiative.
COMPENSATION:
In addition to being part of an organization with a fantastic mission and positive, team-oriented culture, the hourly salary for this temporary role is $18-22/hr DOE. This role also offers medical, dental, vision, and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week.
