Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Assistant Program Director (Education) on behalf of our client, an established nonprofit early childhood education provider centered on uplifting, motivating, and impacting the younger generations across Massachusetts! This is a wonderful, full-time, on-site, direct-hire opportunity with a dedicated, mission-driven organization with multiple locations in South Boston, MA!

The Assistant Program Director (Education) will ensure high quality educational programs, foster a positive learning environment, and support the professional growth of the organization’s education staff while maintaining a passion for shaping the lives of early learners across the Boston community.

Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation: Oversee the development and implementation of a developmentally appropriate, multicultural curriculum aligned with early childhood best practices and state regulations.
  • Quality Assurance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and maintain NAEYC accreditation.
  • Staff Leadership and Development: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise early childhood educators, providing ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Program Management: Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Parent Engagement: Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication, conferences, and involvement in program activities.
  • Child Safety and Well-being: Prioritize child safety and protection through rigorous hiring practices, safety protocols, and supervision.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data to inform program decisions, assess child progress, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Community Partnerships: Collaborate with community organizations to enhance program offerings and support families.
  • Grant Writing and Fundraising: Assist with the identification and pursuit of grant opportunities to secure additional funding for program expansion and improvement.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on early childhood trends and best practices through ongoing professional development.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated professional teaching experience specifically supervising staff and developing curriculum plans.
  • Meet EEC qualifications for Director II.
  • Working knowledge and success with the developmental profession of skills as well as program development.
  • Passion for early childhood education as well as leadership to continue developing education staff.
  • Polished communication skills to work cross-collaboratively internally, externally, and with parents.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Compensation:
This exciting direct-hire opportunity
