Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Business Development on behalf of our client, a respected financial services association in New York, NY. Our client provides educational programs and member, political action, and public relations services to enhance New York’s financial industry. Their focus is on major policy initiatives within the industry, networking opportunities, and professional development. This position is for immediate hire and works on a hybrid schedule from 10 AM to 5 PM at the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and from 9 AM to 5 PM remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead business development efforts to secure and expand relationships with member banks and new prospects, focusing on community banks and driving non-dues revenue through innovative B2B solutions.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing plans to support organizational growth and revenue objectives, ensuring alignment with industry trends and member needs.
  • Partner with C-Suite executives and senior leaders within member institutions to influence decision-making, deepen relationships, and identify collaborative opportunities.
  • Manage and cultivate long-term relationships with current clients, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and engagement levels. Track and monitor contractual agreements and client data to ensure compliance and successful outcomes.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate the business development team, setting clear expectations and performance goals. Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment that encourages continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics, including revenue goals, sales pipeline progress, and team performance. Oversee budgeting, P&L management, and long-term financial planning to ensure business development initiatives’ financial health and success.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 12+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on community banking, B2B relationship management, and strategic planning to drive revenue growth.
  • Proven leadership experience, with 5+ years managing teams, setting expectations, and motivating staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including experience with sales strategies, exceeding revenue targets, and measurable achievements in past roles.
  • Experience working directly with C-Suite executives or senior decision-makers, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a professional setting.
  • Familiarity with financial technology and innovative banking products, with a strong ability to identify and capitalize on trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
  • Willingness to travel within New York State; hybrid work environment.
  • Established connections within the banking or financial services sectors in New York preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
