Scions Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Entry-Level Accountant on behalf of a prominent mining company specializing in the production and distribution of industrial silica sand. This hybrid role, based in Frisco, TX, presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance team and build a strong foundation in corporate accounting.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing essential accounting tasks, and supporting the company’s financial processes. This is a full-time position with standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of invoices, payments, and financial records.
  • Reconcile financial transactions and promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the finance department as needed.
  • Take on additional responsibilities with the opportunity to grow into a Staff Accountant role.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required) or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an intermediate level of Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Prior accounting internship or work experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A proactive attitude with eagerness to learn and advance within the company.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This role offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $70,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and holidays. Details on the full benefits package will be provided upon interview.
