Scion Technology has been engaged to lead a Software Engineering Leader search on behalf of our client, an innovative and rapidly growing technology company located in Scottsdale, AZ, and this role is for immediate, direct-hire!

What You Will Do:

• Lead and execute the technical vision and system design decisions for cloud-native solutions, including front-end and back-end development.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers and engineering leaders to design, build, deploy, and operate production systems.

• Mentor team members, enforcing best coding practices and driving continual improvement.

• Create tools and templates to simplify processes and enhance productivity.

• Scale the existing platform significantly, managing increased load while ensuring 100% uptime.

• Champion API-first approaches and domain-driven designs to maintain loosely coupled systems.

• Proactively manage and mitigate technical debt.

What You Will Bring:

• 10+ years of hands-on software development lifecycle experience, including at least 3 years as a Staff Engineer or higher.

• Mastery of SOLID principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and clean architecture.

• 5+ years of experience with modern technologies such as GoLang, GraphQL, gRPC, microservices, and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB preferred).

• Extensive cloud development expertise, particularly in Azure, including cloud-based architecture and automated release pipelines.

• Strong proficiency with API-first designs and loosely coupled, domain-driven systems.
