Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a high-priority search for a full-time Process Engineer for our client who specializes in producing chemical products for various industries worldwide! This direct-hire opportunity is located onsite in Moses Lake, WA and a relocation package is being offered which includes travel expenses, 3 months’ rent, and a potential sign-on bonus as well!
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer will provide expert support, at the department level, of manufacturing processes and implementing process improvements in the laboratory. The Process Engineer will also mentor junior engineers, Manage projects and technical initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Support development, planning, and execution of assigned projects.

Support scale up on chemical reactors.

Execute deliverables required for execution of projects/initiatives including but not limited to: project schedules, resource plans, technical specifications, and budgets; specifications for instrumentation, hardware, software, and interfaces; documentation.

Manage process design & detail engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, process optimization, sizing & selection of equipment.

Incorporate safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, and lean manufacturing principles.

Lead all process safety reviews and requirements from an engineering perspective.

Develop test plans for equipment and systems including safety features, interlocks, cause and effect matrices.
QUALIFICATIONS

You come with your B.S. in Engineering or equivalent field. M.S in Engineering is preferred.

Three or more years direct experience in a related field.

Experience with scale up.

Experience with project management, including lean manufacturing principles.

Experience with controls systems design and at least one controls programming suite (e.g., Delta V, Allen Bradley, etc.) is required.

Experience with statistical process control (SPC) is strongly desired.

Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.
