Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a skilled Human Resources Manager to be a part of a team who are leaders in their industry! This is a full-time, contract opportunity working on-site at the company’s office in Newport Beach, CA.
The HR Manager will directly support the Director of Finance in developing and implementing new HR policies, will spearhead recruiting and onboarding efforts, and effectively establish strategic alignment within the company.

The HR Manager will directly support the Director of Finance in developing and implementing new HR policies, will spearhead recruiting and onboarding efforts, and effectively establish strategic alignment within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Revise, update and administer personnel policies, procedures and practices as directed by the Director Finance.
- Develop a new employee handbook.
- Ensure agency compliance with local, state, and federal labor law.
- Develop a new process for onboarding and new hire orientations.
- Review and administer benefit programs: health, dental, life, vision, etc.
- Oversee workers’ compensation, disability, unemployment, and family support claims.
- Create a training and development program for managers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA degree or equivalent in education and work experience.
- A minimum of two years HR Manager experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good judgment: ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
- PHR, PHR-CA, SPHR or SPHR-CA Certification preferred but not required.
