Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an Interim Director of Finance and Operations for an established nonprofit organization in Marin County, CA! Our client has a passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community and providing resources to help this community thrive. This is a contract, part-time, hybrid opportunity based in Marin County.
The ideal Interim Director of Finance and Operations will have proven experience in nonprofit financial management, is a natural problem-solver, and shares a commitment towards serving local communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Executive Director to review, revise, and develop both financial and operational planning procedures and processes.
- Manage relationships and invoices with partners, investors, contract funders, and/or grantors.
- Oversee the every-day accounting processes including general bookkeeping and processing payroll and collections.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure organization adherence with financial laws and regulations.
- Supervise Bookkeeper.
- Proven experience in nonprofit financial management – fund accounting, government contracts
- Expert skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong familiarity with Slack and Google Suite, experience with Fund EZ is a plus!
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with teams
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance a plus
